Director of Reporting & Compliance

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Reporting & Compliance to join our team. This key leadership role is responsible for developing, managing, and overseeing Johnston & Associates’ reporting strategy, compliance initiatives, and information technology infrastructure and operations.

The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a passion for system security, data accuracy, and operational excellence. This individual will lead and develop teams within Reporting/IT, and Compliance, driving strategic initiatives that align technology and compliance with the company’s overall business objectives. We are seeking a driven individual who has a passion for reporting, information technology and compliance.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement organizational strategy, policies, and procedures that align technology and compliance with business goals

• Oversee the daily operations of all Reporting/IT, and Compliance systems to ensure efficiency, security, and uptime

• Establish and maintain IT and data security policies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations

• Manage the departmental budget and resources effectively

• Lead, develop, and mentor staff within Reporting/IT, and Compliance to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture

• Ensure timely, accurate, and strategic reporting across all departments

• Implement technology solutions that improve efficiency and support company growth

• Lead the deployment and ongoing maintenance of the organization’s information technology systems, infrastructure, and applications

• Oversee Reporting/IT and compliance projects from conception through implementation

• Provide end-user support and ensure consistent service delivery standards across the company

• Monitor system security, manage risk mitigation strategies, and respond to security threats

• Build trusted relationships with clients by exhibiting confidence and being personable

 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• 10+ years of experience in the technology field

• 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role

• Strong working knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, networking, and current security protocols

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant coding languages

• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and make sound decisions

• Proven success in managing budgets, projects, and cross-functional teams

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity and professionalism

• Must be confident, personable, and able to engage with others naturally and professionally, building trust and credibility

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Experience implementing IT governance frameworks and compliance programs

• Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools
